I enjoy several things in life and one of them is golf and another is reading. I was reading about an eyeglass company that has figured out a way to sell eyeglasses for a cheap price. If you have bought eyeglasses then you know the words cheap and eyeglasses do not usually appear together. Zenni Optical does not do as many of the other eyeglass companies do. They are able to cut costs by doing things a little different. First they do not offer the highly marked up brands that you are use to seeing in eyeglass stores. They instead make their own eyeglasses. By doing this they can control the pricing and quality. They can be sure they keep their eyeglasses at the best price and the highest of quality because they make them. This eliminates the middleman and we all know that means savings. Another way they are able to reduce costs is they do not have retail overhead. They also do not advertise. These two things save a lot of expense. Instead of advertising they count on their customers to tell others about their products. If a customer gets a quality product at a good price and enjoys the experience then they will tell others and they will tell others and before you know it you have a customer base. In a customer satisfaction based company we all win.
